My boyfriend and I just went here for lunch. Didn't have to wait and the staff was super friendly. We were in and out in less than an hr as we sat at the bar. Very affordable price! We split two sushi meals which came to 2100Â¥. Overall, great spot!

Amazing experience! It's a small sushi restaurant in a quiet alley next to the fish market. I tried the 1050Â¥ menu and it's definitely the freshest and most delicious sushi I've ever had before, with all the sushi pieces prepared by the chef in front of you. I'm definitely coming back here whenever I visit Tokyo again :D

We came for lunch and got a 1 person portion and a 1.5 person portion (which had an additional 2 pieces). The sushi was fresh, yummy, and very well worth the ¥2,000.I noticed there are a couple of tatami rooms upstairs, which looks fun, and the bathroom was small but clean. I loved that it wasn't too busy for Saturday lunch and our food came quickly, so we got to go on with our day. It helps that the lunch menu has only 5 or so options for the indecisive.

Sushi chefs behind the counter prepare the food as you order. Fish sashimi was extremely fresh. English menu available if you ask. Free refills of green tea and miso soup if asked.

Lunch sushi menu is really good (but heavy on the wasabi) and made with really fresh fish. Prices seem to have been raised recently.

Great sushi at a great price. You can sit in front of the chef and see him make your sushi. We went as a group of 3 and each got their recommended sushi sets. 1800 yen gets you a really good Tuna set. Fatty tuna was very marbled.Probably the most worth it but the other cheaper sets are decent value as well.Tsukiji is too much of a tourist trap so this is a good way to fill up without breaking the bank or having to stand while eating.

Come here for great sushi without the typical Tsukiji lines. English menu so you'll have no problem ordering some of the best fish of your life. Go with one of the set menus.

Right across Tsukiji, Katsura is owned by one of the wholesalers of the market. This guarantees very fresh and good quality fish. The place is not even that expensive, with a basic sushi plate with soup for about ¥1000. Higher qualities come at double or triple the price (at lunch, I think evenings are more expensive). But it is very good value for money. Around Tsukiji, which is so busy, this place has a very tranquille atmosphere. Simple decoration, sliding wood and paper panels, there is a real quietness to appreciate here. I recommend it warmly.

Awesome! We went for lunch and got the set with one of each nigiri, 6pc avocado maki roll, tamago, and a couple sashimis. It came with miso soup and an unsweetened pudding which I wasn't a fan of but the sushi was incredible. Our chef also made each piece with wasabi already included and it was the perfect amount.

The sushi here was absolutely unbelievable. I really loved the restaurant vibe as well. My favorite meal in Japan to date.

Delicious food for very reasonable price. More local than touristic place.

This restaurant is located within the outer market of Tsukiji.Here you will find fresh seafood of the same calibre as the famed restaurants within the inner Tsukiji market for a fraction of the price.I went on a Wednesday and arrived at midday and was seated immediately. Restaurant opens at 11.30 and is usually only frequented by locals and is therefore much less touristy.I ordered the 9 piece nigiri and making set for 1050 yen and it was absolutely fantastic. Great good, friendly service and the ambience was on point.This is purely a lunch time price and expect to pay closer to 3000 yen during the dinner service.The restaurant comes highly recommended and an English menu option is also available. Note, there is a much higher price charged per nigiri piece if ordered separately.

We missed the lunch time so the price difference was a little crazy. Definitely go for a lunch here. Staff didn't speak English but we managed to understand each other somehow. Sushi was not that great but not bad either. The fish we had was nice.

Lunchset 1250Â¥Wonderful sushi made to order, really high quality, mainly prepared by an old sushi chef whom appeared to have been doing the craft since ancient times. One of our very best meals in Japan.

This place is great. I came here for lunch with my family and we were told to come back in 30 minutes. We arrived back 30 minutes later and it was well worth the wait. Fresh sushi and the prices are great. When I am in town I will be back!
